
About Us
Dr. Alex Perez-Medina, PSYD, Professional Counselor Associate.
Alex holds a Doctorate of Psychology degree (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology and a Master of Arts degree (MA) in Clinical Psychology from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon, where he specialized his training in Latinx mental health and LGBTQ+ psychology. He is currently completing his psychology residency at Barcelona Counseling, and is currently supervised by Joni Moon, PsyD.
Alex is trained in individual, group, family and couples therapy. He works with adults, children and adolescents. He has experience with Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Emotion-Focused Therapy, along with attachment-based techniques and Gottman interventions. Alex provides therapy services in both English and Spanish.
Alex is passionate about his work with diverse populations and has a strong interest in social justice matters.
Alex is a registered LPC Associate with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists (OBLPCT), and he abides by its Code of Ethics. As a psychologist resident, Alex also abides by the Oregon Board of Psychology’s Code of Ethics.

Alex is a Psychologist Resident Associate with the Oregon Board of Psychology and a Registered
Intern at the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists under Lucrecia Suarez, LCSW supervision. He is currently working on obtaining his psychologist and professional counselor licenses in Oregon, and is currently supervised by Joni Moon, PsyD.
