Alida Holt, LPC-Associate.
Alida’s professional background includes working in community mental health with children and adults. She interned at the Oregon State Psychiatric hospital and worked at various community mental health organizations in Portland, as well as the public school system at a Title 1 elementary school. Through these experiences, she has developed a strong understanding of treating a client through a holistic lens and has implemented this perspective in her therapy sessions.
Alida believes that everyone deserves to live an empowered and fulfilling life. To establish this, she values building a strong therapeutic relationship with each client and takes the time to understand their unique experiences, worldly perceptions, and mental health concerns. Treatment plans are collaborative and structured to best support each client’s personal growth and healing. Clients will feel validated, empowered, and challenged in her sessions.
Alida primarily utilizes techniques from evidence-based practices including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Alida also offers Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing EMDR therapy.
Licenses and Certifications
Alida holds a Master’s degree in Applied Psychological Science from Pacific University - Hillsboro, Oregon and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Willamette University - Salem, Oregon.
