Katie Roy, CSW-Associate.

 

Katie holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Portland State University in Portland, Oregon.

Katie provides individual, group, family, and couple’s therapy. She has experience providing a wide range of therapy modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness Interventions.

 

Katie also provides Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) treatment. Katie’s experience centers around supporting survivors of emotional, physical, and social trauma (including child abuse and domestic violence), as well as helping people to address problematic sexual behaviors. She has developed a deep understanding around the cycles and thinking errors that lead to problematic behaviors.

 

Navigating systems to find support and resources for clients has helped shape her approach to clinical work. Katie strives to create an environment where clients feel safe to explore both their strengths and struggles, while ensuring their voice is heard throughout the process.
