Aléx Bassi

Aléx Bassi, Professional Counselor Associate
 

Aléx (they/them/el) has a Master’s degree in Professional Mental Health Counseling and a Master’s degree in School Counseling from Lewis & Clark College. Their professional background includes years in the mental health field working with diverse clients, and working in the school setting supporting youth and their families. Aléx is bicultural, Non-Binary, and a first generation child of two immigrant parents.


Aléx believes in a collaborative relationship with their clients where the client can feel safe, heard, and connected. Aléx approaches therapeutic work through the lens of Relational Cultural Therapy, Trauma Informed, Feminist Theory, and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and views individuals as holistic beings. Aléx also incorporates therapeutic interventions from different treatment modalities and hopes to work together to find strategies and tools that work best for each individual client.


Aléx provides individual therapy to adolescents and adults from ages 11 to adulthood, who are experiencing a range of presenting concerns including: Depression, Anxiety, school issues, lack of self-worth, lack of belonging, lack of self-compassion, Trauma, Racial Trauma, Gender Affirming Care, Sexuality, and Neurodivergence. Aléx enjoys working with BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and First Generation communities.


Outside of work, Aléx enjoys camping, watching anime, playing video games, playing D&D, listening to music, and reading. Aléx looks forward to meeting and working with anyone who is on their healing adventure.

Aléx (they/them/el) has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from San Diego State University. They are under the supervision of Gemma Escale, LPC.
