Ivette Yen Rabanal, LCSW
 

Ivette Yen Rabanal, LCSW, LISAC, is a seasoned behavioral health provider with experience in clinical social work, substance abuse counseling, and academia. Holding a Masters of Social Work from New Mexico State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of New Mexico, Ivette has dedicated herself to serving individuals and families from all backgrounds. She is also a Board-Certified Clinical Supervisor, exemplifying her commitment to excellence in practice and education.

Throughout her career, Ivette has made significant contributions to academia, serving as faculty at New Mexico Highlands University since 2015. There, she specializes in teaching in the bilingual/bicultural and clinical curriculum and substance abuse track. Additionally, Ivette recently retired from the University of New Mexico after 30 years of dedicated service, where she developed and directed various programs focusing on prevention and the integration of behavioral health and public health in primary care settings.

In addition to her academic roles, Ivette continues to serve with distinction in the Army National Guard, rising to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel as a Behavioral Health Officer, where she has held nationally appointed positions to develop behavioral health programs, provide recommendations to leadership on clinical and social adversities facing the military force, and deployed overseas in support of combat and humanitarian missions.

As a native Spanish speaker, Ivette is honored to join Barcelona Counseling and have the opportunity to work with an esteemed team serving the immigrant and LatinX community.

Licenses and Certifications

 

Ivette is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). She follows the Oregon Board of Licensed Social Workers ethics and rules.
