Lina Quintana Vivas

Lina Quintana Vivas,  CSW-Associate
 

Lina Quintana is a Clinical Social Worker Associate (CSWA) in the state of Oregon and obtained her Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Houston. She is currently studying for a Master's in Family Education, with an emphasis on families, youth, and children. She holds a bachelor’s in psychology from Icesi University in Colombia. She has a variety of experience working with children and youth from various circumstances and backgrounds since she worked for several years in a public school in Houston, Texas.

Lina believes that change happens when people are given support, they need to draw on their strengths, and that is why she enjoys so much to support others in their journey. She especially enjoys working with parents, teenagers, and kids. She also likes to use different approaches to help address the needs of her clients: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused brief therapy, and Motivational interviewing. She also offers Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing EMDR therapy.

Her therapeutic approach is to evaluate each person within their environment and context and provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. Help them see the opportunities and strengths that they possess improve their relationships and reach their goals.

Lina is also proficient in Spanish and English.

Licenses and Certifications

 

Lina is in the process to be registered by the Oregon Board as an CSW Associate, and is currently under the supervision of Ivette Rabanal LCSW.
