Maria Lopez Ortiz, QMHI
 

Maria graduated from Portland State University in 2021 with her Bachelor of Science in Social Work and is currently working on getting her master’s in social work by June 2024. Her professional background includes working with families of diverse backgrounds with a primary focus of Latino/Hispanic families in school setting by providing adolescents and families with resources.

 

Maria is bilingual in both English and Spanish. She believes healing happens when we want to make positive changes in our life and when we feel connected and heard without fear of judgement. Maria is committed to providing a trauma informed approach and creating a safe and welcoming space where clients can explore their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors without fear of judgement. Maria is focused on providing Family therapy, Play therapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, and Cognitive Behavioral therapy.

 

Outside of work, Maria enjoys camping, hiking, and reading books on rainy days. Maria looks forward to working with adolescents and children alongside their family to create strong and healthy relationships.

Licenses and Certifications

 

Maria is under her University Student Internship and under the supervision of Kara Kazemba LCSW.
