Mario Dixon, QMHI
  

Mario Dixon is a dedicated community health professional and proven leader with extensive experience coordinating community health initiatives and programs. His professional background is grounded in a strong commitment to client-centered care and the development of inclusive programs that respond to the needs of diverse communities.

Mario has training in trauma-informed care, de-escalation, and crisis intervention, as well as experience in motivational interviewing. His approach focuses on supporting individuals with empathy and collaboration, helping them identify their goals and develop strategies to achieve meaningful progress.

Mario also brings strong analytical and program development skills, using data collection and interpretation to identify opportunities for improvement and strengthen the effectiveness of community-based services. His experience in leadership and community engagement allows him to build meaningful connections and contribute to care environments that promote inclusion, well-being, and positive outcomes.

Licenses and Certifications​

Mario is currently pursuing his Master of Social Work (MSW) at Portland State University’s School of Social Work, a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). As part of his clinical training, he is completing his Advanced Clinical Practicum at Barcelona Counseling Center under the supervision of his academic program and Ivette Rabanal, LCSW, Clinical Director.
