Michelle Debelis, Professional Counselor Associate.

Michelle holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Plymouth State University in Plymouth, New Hampshire, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of New Hampshire.

 

Michelle works with children, adolescents, adults, and families providing both individual and family counseling with a strengths-based and person-centered therapeutic approach. She has experience providing a wide range of therapy modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Collaborative Problem Solving, and Mindfulness Interventions. Michelle also provides EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy.

 

In addition to providing outpatient counseling, Michelle has experience working in community mental health with children, adolescents, and families addressing generational trauma and a variety of mental health concerns. She has worked with families and youth in the foster care system, juvenile justice system, and in school districts across the state. Michelle’s approach to therapy focuses on the needs of the client, ensuring a collaborative therapeutic experience where clients can process, reflect, grow, and heal. Michelle enjoys working with the LGBTQ+ community and highly values building positive connections with her clients.

Licenses and Certifications

 

Michelle is a Registered Associate under the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists (OBLPCT) currently working to become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Her LPC supervisor is Gemma Escale
